We just got back from a Vacation up north in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, We rented a Cabin by the lake which Carie and I rented a couple years ago. We traveled with our friends from Central IL the Steiners, Joe, Cheryl, Ethan(3) and baby Abby(10 weeks). Here's a bunch of pics that we took, cause I know that's what everyone wants.
Here is a pic of Jacob at home playing after playing in the waterJacob and Ethan playing in the Barbie Jeep. Ethan was a pretty good driver, and Jacob like to ride along, but at some point they switched seats and eventually Jacob drove head on into one of my new trees, pretty funny to see the look on their faces, as well as all the dew on the tree falling on them when they hit. Don't worry the tree is ok. Just a minor scrape.
This is Jacob Sticking his finger up the Moose's nose
Here is Jacob sacked out in the truck in his favorite position.
We went to a bear ranch that raised rescued Black bears and Jacob got to pet a bear cub, Don't have a picture of the petting, but you get the idea

Here's some pics from the Steiner house when we went down the weekend before vacation to go become Godparents for Abby.

Here is Jacob driving Ethan around in Ethan's truck, it's a little more manly than the pink Barbie jeep, even if it is a Ford.
Jacob and Ethan in the bike trailer at Mackinaw Island. We took day trip there and biked around the island, 8 miles with all 3 kids. Abby in one trailer and Jacob in his and Ethan in a Bike Seat. Don't they look so happy together. This lasted all of about ten minutes with them riding together before they started pestering each other, mostly Jacob bothering Ethan.
Here is Jacob doing His I'm not ready to leave the beach yet routine. I'll just sit here, then you can't make me leave. Cute pic though with the Bridge in the Background. Longest Suspension bridge in the western hemisphere, 5 miles long. We Michiganders are very proud of our bridge.
Here all the boys on the boat ride to the island
This is pictures from my shortcut back to the cabin. Joe didn't like my roads, especially since his truck was only a week old. Gotta put some scratches and mud on it sometime. And as Chery asked him did you buy it to look at or are you going to drive it. Cheryl liked my shortcuts.
Here's the family in front of Thaquammen falls. (I don't know how to spell it)
Here is Ethan feeding Jacob raisins
Here is Carie with our new God Daughter Abby. She did very good on the trip, she went on the bikes on the boat, on Chris' shortcuts,
Carie and Jacob tubing.
I gave Jacob and Ethan haircuts while we were up there, then Carie gave me what can only be described as a borderline Mohawk.
